Looking into my crystal ball
The best way to predict your future is to create it.
The human brain has approximately 60,000 thoughts per day. Of those many thousands, 80% are negative and 90% are repetitive.
That means you spent today thinking almost the exact set of negative, limiting thoughts as you did yesterday, and likely will do again tomorrow.
Basically, we play the same recordings all day, every day, and most of the songs are just sad, sad, sad.
So how do we change the station?
The key is to slow down, breathe, and learn to reprogram your brain through visualization. Shift your perspective.
Exercise:
Try this—take out a piece of paper, and for every negative thought you have, write one positive thought. Notice how you feel when you place your focus on the positive thought.
I’m not suggesting this is easy, and it does take practice.
The alternative of course, is to continue to let those old songs repeat over and over until they drown out the good thoughts you DO have!
